Day 59 - Erosion Control Inspection
Arriving on site I noticed that the Type III barricade has been damaged.
Heavy rains from the night before have damaged all of the pages in the bulletin board. Several sheets will need to be replaced do to staining.
The other side of the bulletin board.
A bulldozer blocks off the bridge to prevent anyone from driving on it. Dirt work, and asphalt still need to be completed prior to opening to traffic.
The north side barrier wall.
A view of the bridge looking to the west.
Unknown staining on the seam where the concrete truck was rejected. The slip forming machine had to re-position and concrete was vibrated into place.
The slip forming machine had a difficult time lining back up with existing so a bump exists in the wall that is noticeable. The top of the wall also dips down.
Another view of the wall with the defect.
This is standing on the bridge looking to the south. The dirt has slumped down onto the rock blanket and needs to be fixed.
A close up of the previous picture.
The rock blanket that was installed earlier this week.
Silt fence has fallen and needs to be set back up. A deficiency has been noted on the post event erosion control inspection.
A view looking to the west from the bridge.
The land owners field entrance. Work still needs to be done to cut the drive to the correct grade prior to placing gravel on it.
Another shot of the driveway from the west side looking east. A wattle log or some appropriate BMP is needed to prevent dirt from getting inside the CMP.
