Day 49 - Ditch grading
The ditch grade was shot with a level and determined that it was 2 feet higher than the plans wanted so the operator cleared and grubbed the section between 50+00 and 100+00.
The clearing and grubbing took about 10 minutes. There wasn't much to do.
This is an initial shot of the ditch prior to cutting it to grade.
A small ditch is visible but it's also elevated quite a bit and needs to be brought down.
While the operator was grading the ditch the other crew members worked on dismantling the crane and loading it onto the trailer.

After everything is cut to grade the dozer tracker over to compact it as well as scraped it to give it a nice finish.
After that was complete the operator worked on compacting the fill face for the asphalt approach pavement.

The crew starts to remove the burlap from the bridge.
The base rock was brought to the deck surface for the barrier wall machine and to allow the concrete trucks to drive across the deck.
The crew worked on folding the burlap and loading it into the trailer.
