Day 44 - Back-filling Bents and tying steel

The contractor started back filling the bent. Water was removed from the bent prior to them starting.

An operator uses a vibratory compactor to compact the dirt to the necessary density.

This is a picture of the barrier wall before the upper bars were installed.
After the bent was back filled this is the final product. The dirt may need to be brought up a little more before rock can be placed.

This picture was taken after the barrier wall steel was finished being tied. It has necessary clearances and cross bracing.
