Day 23 - Setting girders and deck panels

The girders were hauled in on special articulated trailers that have the ability to turn on the rear.

The girders arrived at 7:30 am. At 8:00 am promptly the crew began setting girders.

Both cranes picked the girder and together they swung them into position.

By 8:30 am all girders had been set. This is the finished product.

The crew immediately began to prep the girders for deck panels. They cut foam and checked camber on the bridge using a rod and level.

The deck panels arrived and were carefully placed onto the girders in a specific order.

Once the deck panels were in place this is the finished product.
